O as in Oakland

After Sunday’s 30-24 loss to the Seahawks, the Raiders are 0-8 for second time in franchise history. The first was in 1962, when their coach — for the first five games, anyway — was Marty Feldman (career record: 2-15) and their home was Frank Youell Field, which seated all of 22,000.

But lest you think these times are as bad as those for the Raiders, I thought I’d post the season-ticket order form that ran in the Oakland Tribune┬álate that season. You could go to seven games the following year (1963) for the low, low price of $31.50 — plus a 30-cent mailing charge.

That might pay for parking — at one game — today.
